Harrison leads recurring choir rehearsals tailored to the residents participating in the program. Sessions can include vocal warmups, learning and reviewing songs, practicing harmonies, preparing repertoire, and plenty of singing together.

From familiar standards and patriotic favorites to Broadway, jazz, folk, holiday music, and classic sing-alongs, Harrison selects music that residents can connect with and enjoy performing.

Vocal Warmups & Musical Development

Rehearsals can incorporate approachable vocal exercises designed to help singers warm up, listen to one another, learn their parts, and become more comfortable using their voices.

The goal isn’t perfection—it’s progress, participation, and enjoying the process.

Performance Preparation

Having a performance on the calendar gives the choir something exciting to work toward.

Harrison can help residents prepare for in-house concerts, holiday programs, special events, family gatherings, and other community performances, including selecting the program and rehearsing the material leading up to the event.

When appropriate, Harrison can also help coordinate opportunities for senior choirs to perform for residents at other communities.

These outings give singers the experience of taking their music on the road, sharing what they’ve worked on, and enjoying the camaraderie of performing as a group.
